At 75lbs, ZigZag is the largest of the AvaDog canines. He was born in early September 2005 and found abandoned as a baby with his teenaged mom and three sisters in cardboard box at a car wash in rural California. |

Ellen Carrlee adopted him from the kind folks at Mountainhouse Animal Rescue when he was old enough to leave his mother—who was clearly a border collie. From the looks of Ziggy, dad may have been a lab. Ellen keeps in touch with two of his sisters, Oreo and Milano—who live on a llama farm in Placerville, CA. The world is a big happy game to ZigZag, who loves every person and creature he meets. This sweet personality, eagerness to use his nose, and high play drive led Ellen and ZigZag to explore search and rescue training where he has exceled at every level. Ziggy has also taken Rally-O, Agility, and several obedience classes. He passed his Canine Good Citizen test in January 2007, and continues to take classes to improve his good manners and teamwork with Ellen.
